Using / preparing
The Zulu and Xhosa customarily employ uvuma-omhlope as a component of a sacred root infusion. It is taken right before bed to encourage the dreaming of the spiritual.
The root powder in this product can be used to create tea. The threshold dosage varies from person to person, although it has been claimed that as little as 300 to 400 mg is needed to provide the desired results. However, you might need to experiment a little to discover the right dosage for you.
Hot water with the powder added should steep for 5 minutes. This "dream tea" should be consumed an hour or so before bed. Since the flavor is very plain, sugar or another sweetener could be required.
